Cycling in Versilia

Cycling has always been loved and followed with great passion in Versilia, which has often been one of the legs of the Giro d’Italia. The ITT, individual time trial starting from Forte dei Marmi was quite famous as well.

Versilia offers a varied and complete choice of tracks to cycling amateurs and mountainbikers.
There are also other international, important cycling competitions: the Gran Premio città di Camaiore, the Gran Fondo della Versilia and the Tirreno Adriatica.
Versilia offers tracks with different levels of difficulty: from the flat paths along the coast toward the inland to the Apuan Alps with their steep climbs up to 2045 metres sea level.

In Versilia going biking is particularly appreciated to admire our wonderful sunsets, our green pinewoods and hills, the blue skies, the reflection of the sea.

Lots of bike lanes along the sea front connect Forte dei Marmi to Torre del Lago but you can also easily reach the inland villages by some minor roads.
Paths for mountainbikes for any level of difficulty are available on the hills and mountains of Versilia.
