Calcaferro and its mines, explosive factories and Mulina’s sources

Half day excursion in the Apuan Alps of Versila.

Half-day excursion suitable for children too in order to discover mines, explosive factories and crystal clear sources of Mulina. Mines and tunnels of Calcaferro are rich in barite, pyrite and Hematite and they are the favourite destination from the part of researchers thanks to the presence of very rare minerals and of ruins of textile mills to produce black powder.
You can also drink from the rich source of Mulina that flows into an uncontaminated environment , a really healty water appreciated from everyone.

SCHEDULE: Meeting at the bus station in Pietrasanta, next to the train station, at 8.15 a.m., then departure toward Mulina of Stazzema.
The return is expected at 13 a.m.

CLOTHING: A little rucksack, suitable clothing (it is recommended to wear different layers), 1 liter of water, liquid containers do not have to be made of glass, possible change of clothes to leave in the car.
Trekking boots are required.
